The emphasis for this tour will be elementary age students, but is open to all ages. Our tour begins at 10 am. Please be on time. Wednesday in the Woods

This is National Wildlife Week. We'll be walking the Nature Trail at Idle Hour Park from 2-4 pm looking for birds and wildlife, identify trees and flowers, etc. If you RSVP to this event, I'll make sure to print a copy of the Family Activity Passport for ideas to spend some extra family time outside together plus fun activities on our walk.
If you have a GPS, please bring it. We'll do some geocaching along the way.

Bring a camera for a photo scavenger hunt too! We'll have activities for little ones as well as older students. I'm planning to take some water samples to check for pH as well as microbes and plant life.

Things to bring with you to the woods (if you happen to have them): binoculars, bug house, identification books (birds, insects, trees, flowers), sketch book and pencil, magnifying glass, camera, litmus paper

Archaeology Dig

The Explorations in Antiquity Center in LaGrange, Georgia, is a living museum of life in ancient times. Through archeological replicas, Biblical meal presentations, lectures, and other personal experiences, ancient Middle Eastern life becomes real today. Following the dig and discusion, we'll go on a walk through the time. Under The Stars Camp Out

We've reserved a group campsite at FDR State Park. Our first night will feature a special astronomy presentation by park rangers.
