This is National Wildlife Week. We'll be walking the Nature Trail at Idle Hour Park from 2-4 pm looking for birds and wildlife, identify trees and flowers, etc. If you RSVP to this event, I'll make sure to print a copy of the Family Activity Passport for ideas to spend some extra family time outside together plus fun activities on our walk.
If you have a GPS, please bring it. We'll do some geocaching along the way.
Bring a camera for a photo scavenger hunt too! We'll have activities for little ones as well as older students. I'm planning to take some water samples to check for pH as well as microbes and plant life.
Things to bring with you to the woods (if you happen to have them): binoculars, bug house, identification books (birds, insects, trees, flowers), sketch book and pencil, magnifying glass, camera, litmus paper
